6. Use of the Scalable Central Measurement Procedure (SCM)
(1) Our website uses the Scalable Central Measurement Procedure from INFOnline GmbH (https://www.infonline.de) to identify key statistical figures regarding the use of our offerings. The aim of the range measurement is to identify statistically – based on a consistent standard procedure – the usage intensity, number of users of a website and surfing behaviour, and thus obtain comparable values across the market.
For web offerings that are members of the German Audit Bureau of Circulation (IVW – http://www.ivw.eu) or participate in studies conducted by the Working Group for Online Media Research (AGOF – http://www.agof.de), the usage statistics are regularly published by the AGOF and Working Group for Media Analysis (agma – http://www.agma-mmc.de), as well as the IVW, and can be viewed on the relevant websites.
INFOnline GmbH collects and processes data in accordance with German data protection law. Technical and organisational measures ensure that individual users cannot be identified at any time. Data that could be connected with a specific, identifiable person is anonymised as early as possible.
Each data requires a clear address, the so-called IP address, to transfer data on the internet. The manner in which the internet operates means that it is necessary from a technical perspective to save the IP address, at least for a short time. The IP addresses are abbreviated before any processing and are only processed in an anonymised form. The unabridged IP addresses shall not be saved or processed.
So-called geolocalisation, namely determining the place from which a website was accessed, is performed solely on the basis of the anonymised IP address and only up to the geographical level of the federal states/regions.
